This time we celebrate the victory of Real Madrid in the 2017-2018 UEFA Champions League.


The 2018 UEFA Champions League was the 63rd edition of the competition.

The final was played at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 26th 2018.

Real Madrid was proclaimed champion for the third time in a row. After winning 3-1 to Atlético de Madrid in 2016 and 4-1 to Juventus in the 2017 final.


It is the first time in the history of the competition that a team achieves to win the Champions League Cup three years in a row.

The NSC Olimpiyskiy of Kiev has a capacity of 70,000 spectators and hosts the important matches of Kiev Dinamo and the Ukrainian national team.



It´s the most important competition of football clubs worldwide!.


Real Madrid and Liverpool returned to face in the decisive instance as they had done in the 1980-81 season with victory of the English team.


The Spanish team has reached the final in 4 of the last 5 tournaments’ editions and it has surpassed its own record by reaching 8 consecutive semifinals.

After eliminating Paris Saint-Germain (from France), Juventus (from Italy) and Bayern Munchen (from Germany) they qualified to the final to defend their crown.



The two times-in-a-row champion Real Madrid, reached its 16th final, a great record, after they got a victory 4-3 over Bayern Munchen in semifinales.


It was precisely Liverpool who is the last team to defeat Real Madrid in an European Cup final, winning 1-0 in Paris in 1981.

The final was broadcast in 226 countries and UEFA has estimated an audience of 350 million viewers all around the world.


At the opening ceremony we could watch a spectacular show by the British singer Dua Lipa and the Jamaican Sean Paul.



In 6 minutes, Lipa sang her greatest hits: "One Kiss", "Be the One", "IDGAF", "New Rules", accompanied by her army of dancers and of course her greatest success in a duet with Sean Paul: "No Lie".


At the entrance of the players to the field a couple of cellists were playing the anthem of the UEFA Champions League. That was fancy!



A goal in an offside barely perceptible but correctly marked by the line judge, and it annuls Real Madrid's first goal in the first half of the match.

Mohamed Salah crashed with Sergio Ramos at the 31 of the first half and he got injured. And this is a hard blow for Liverpool whose left without their team star.



After the break, Isco kicks and the ball hits the crossbar. The goal is near.

Liverpool’s goalkeeper makes a big mistake that Karim Benzema takes advantage of, to break the score 1-0 in the second half.



Liverpool quickly strikes back and on a corner kick, the reds tie the game.

After that, Garret Bale made one of the most spectacular goals in Champions League history and he scored the second goal for the white team.



Then a kick of Mané that goes straight to the crossbar can’t get to tie the game.



Finally to seal the victory, Garret Bale makes a long distance kick and because of a goalkeeper’s terrible mistake they get their third goal.



Real Madrid wins the final 3-1. They are champions for third year in a row of the UEFA Champions League!



Their fans back at the capital of Spain, welcome them as heroes in the streets of Madrid.
